We’re thrilled to have been shortlisted for the GamesIndustry.biz Best Places to Work Awards in the Health and Wellbeing category! At FuturLab, we’re lucky to have an outstanding People team who go above and beyond to ensure our studio stays happy, healthy, and supported. This nomination is a wonderful recognition of their dedication and hard work.

Last year, our wonderful Studio Welfare Manager, Hayley Blundy, introduced a weekly wellbeing programme to help us all look after ourselves in different ways, whether that’s emotional, physical, occupational, social, spiritual, intellectual, environmental, or financial. With the help of our wellbeing mascot, Basil the capybara, these weekly and daily themes have brought variety, balance, and a little extra joy to our days.
This year, we also made the switch to YuLife for our health insurance and benefits, giving our team a platform that rewards healthy choices with vouchers and perks, or the option to give back by donating to charity. On top of that, with our new BUPA health cover through YuLife, we can now claim back the cost of extra therapy sessions beyond the credits offered by Spill (our free therapy provider), ensuring that support is always within reach.

We’re so proud of our People team and the thoughtful initiatives they create to make sure everyone at FuturLab feels cared for and supported - especially during a busy development cycle as we get ready for the release of PowerWash Simulator 2!
Next week, Hayley will be sharing her wisdom at the GamesIndustry.biz HR Summit, leading a roundtable on 'Resilience as a Practice', just before the Best Places to Work Awards that same evening. We’ll be cheering her on, and sending our best wishes to all of the GI.biz Best Places to Work nominees!
