Last night, our team had the pleasure of attending the Develop:Star Awards, rounding off an inspiring day of talks and networking at Develop:Brighton. It was an honour to be nominated alongside so many talented individuals and studios from across the games industry. FuturLab was shortlisted for Best Studio, and our marketing team was up for Best Marketing Campaign.
Okay, you’ve read the headline - we’re thrilled to share that our team only went and won the marketing award!
Our talented marketing team wholeheartedly deserve this award for all their incredible work on PowerWash Simulator this past year. In 2024, PowerWash Simulator had 22 new levels with free updates alongside partnering with some iconic IPs like Warhammer 40,000 and Shrek. That’s lot of new content to share with our audiences, and our marketing team smashed it out the park!
We’re so honoured to win this award and see our fabulous marketing team recognised for all their hard work keeping our community of washers informed and excited for what comes next.
I’m so proud to be part of FuturLab’s incredible marketing team, and honoured to work with such a talented team of developers. Our relentless passion for our silly, earnest little game about good clean fun has fuelled us in keeping up with the unstoppable momentum of PowerWash Simulator for the four years since it entered early access. This Develop:Star award feels like the perfect full stop as we reach the end of our journey with PowerWash Simulator and jump feet-first into self-publishing the sequel!

After kicking off 2025 with the release of our Wallace & Gromit Special Pack, PowerWash Simulator’s final update released in May with The Muckingham Files 6. While we’re beginning to say goodbye to PowerWash Simulator, our marketing team is already hard at work preparing to share what’s next, with PowerWash Simulator 2, coming later this year.
