Work For Hire Portfolio

If you’re looking for our published game products, click here.

Our portfolio is very broad, spanning console and mobile games, online Flash games, elearning, e-commerce, virtual meeting platforms and websites!

Games are what really motivate us, so that’s what you’ll see here. If you don’t see anything that gives you confidence in your project, get in touch anyway; we’ll probably have something to show you which does!

Toonix – Atticmedia & Cartoon Network

Late in 2010 our long term collaborator Atticmedia got in touch and asked if we’d be interested in working with them on a hugely ambitious social games project.

Nearly two years later and Toonix is now in live Beta!

Toonix is a cutting edge use of Flash Player and Drupal, peppered with a range of addictive kid-friendly games designed by FuturLab.

BECTA ‐ The National School Quiz

We were approached by Talent TV to design, produce and deploy a real‐time national game event designed for 8yr old children to compete against other teams, schools and individuals in the UK.

The live event was a big success with over 7000 pupils taking part on the day. FuturLab were responsible for concept, creative, technical build and live deployment, with the quiz featuring an hour’s worth of content that included a suite of Flash games, character animation and streamed video as well as question rounds sponsored by the National History Museum, Science Museum and Birds Eye!

Would you believe we did it all in just under eight weeks!?

Secret Alternate Reality Game ‐ SCEE

In 2008 FuturLab were contracted by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe to design, orchestrate and deploy a pan‐european Alternate Reality Game alongside the late pioneer of the emerging genre, Dave Szulborski.

The game was designed to be played across multiple media channels including web, mobile, print and TV, and featured Flash portal games and Facebook games designed to bring players into the experience from a variety of target demographics.

The project was cancelled after 9 months of hard work, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying every minute working with Dave Szulborski on some awesome ideas!

BBC Run!

Run! was an online tournament and story produced by Monterosa, which featured on CBBC in March 2008. The live online game used our Prism Engine and featured 20 different levels over 4 weeks. It was a major success and the on-demand version is still one of CBBC’s most popular games.

Climate Cops

FuturLab were contracted by London agency Grand Union to develop a suite of games for NPower’s Climate Cops campaign. With Grand Union supplying the art, we designed, programmed and composed the music and sound effects for all three games, based around the theme of saving energy and environmental awareness.

Money Bags

We teamed up with London based full service agency Creative Tank to produce games and interactive marketing.

Our first game together required some lovable animation, addictive gameplay and catchy bespoke music for a fun and challenging game, promoting a rebrand for Alpha Magazine.

PRISM

Let’s not forget Prism, our labour of love from 2005. This game demo opened many doors for us.
